A series of images taken in Galway city centre at high tide on January 3rd (from 6am which was high tide to around 7am). There are also some pictures showing the aftermath in Salthill of the huge storm that accompanied the high tide. The Salthill pictures were taken around midday, long ager the tide had receded and some of the floodwater had begun to drain away. Kudos to the council staff, police and fire service who were out in force from very early this morning until late this evening dealing with the aftermath of the floods.
UPDATE: I've also added some pictures from Silver Strand, taken on Jan 5th.
