  > Once upon a time, this waterway (on the right of the picture)was the source for a privately owned water supply in the city - the ruins of the pumphouse used to to be located near where the apartment building now stands. Actually, I took pictures of the pumphouse back in 1990 but I don't think those pictures have survived. Over the railing on the left of the picture flows the River Corrib.
This walkway links William O'Brien Bridge and Wolfe Tone Bridge in the city.
