Spanish Arch

Images of the Spanish Arch, the Claddagh, South Park, the Galway Canal Basin and also Galway Harbour.

It was minus 7 degrees Celcius when I took this picture, back in January 2010. A freezing fog covered the Claddagh and a pair of spotlights created a pair of beams that just needed someone to walk into, to create the picture I wanted. The ice in the Claddagh Basin was thick enough to walk on (as a few foolhardy individuals proved that week)
